Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Audible is seeking a Senior Visual Designer to lead craft and elevate the product’s visual language across iOS, Android and web. You will shape mood boards, typography, color, and motion to create cohesive, premium experiences that deepen the brand and storytelling.
You will mentor designers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and push creative boundaries within an AI-enabled product landscape.
At Audible, we believe stories have the power to transform lives. It’s why we work with some of the world’s leading creators to produce and share audio storytelling with our millions of global listeners. We are dreamers and inventors who come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to empower and inspire each other. Imagine your future with us.
As a Senior Visual Designer on Audible’s Experience Design team, you will be the creative force behind how Audible looks and feels — defining and evolving a visual language that elevates the storytelling experience across iOS, Android and web. This is not a design systems maintenance role. This is a visual craft leadership role for someone with exceptional aesthetic sensibility, creative ambition, and the ability to push boundaries.
You will bring deep expertise in typography, color, composition, and motion to continuously raise the bar on Audible’s visual experience. You’ll establish visual directions where no precedent exists — from refining the craft of today’s product to defining what Audible’s visual identity looks like in an AI-enabled future. Your work will influence not only individual features, but how millions of customers experience the Audible brand through our products. Every design decision you make will be grounded in a deep understanding of visual communication principles — turning rich customer insights into visually stunning experiences that bring our brand to life across every product touchpoint.
Your primary mission is to elevate the visual language of the product experience. You set the creative bar — establishing cohesive, premium visual directions when no playbook exists, taking creative risks, and articulating why a visual choice makes an experience better. You don't simply apply design systems — you create the visual ideas that make systems worth scaling. You thrive in ambiguity, moving with conviction in undefined spaces, forging creative direction from complexity and constraint.
You bring an extraordinary eye and exceptional taste to this work. You notice the rhythm across a screen, feel the emotional impact of imagery, and understand the difference a subtle detail can make. You think in mood boards, type studies, and color palettes — and you know how to translate those big creative ideas into any moment of the product experience, from a hero surface to the smallest interaction, to make it feel more intentional, polished, and elevated.
As a collaborator and mentor, you know that constructive feedback and a growth mindset create an environment where everyone thrives. You're ready to push your craft further, but the journey with your team is what drives you.
Audible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling.
