Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Vision Software Engineer to join a biotechnology organization in Raleigh, NC. You will support commercial software deployments and help transition R&D tech into production, working onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with Python and C#.
• Experience with computer vision and machine learning applications.
• Experience with biological data and biotechnology environments.
• Proficiency with SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Azure cloud services, container deployment, and software versioning.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and data governance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Integrate commercial and biological data into existing tools and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proprietary software solutions.
• Support and improve production code deployments for field systems.
• Drive new product development using computer vision and machine learning technologies.
• Validate and test data, software, and analytical outputs to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Assist with product commercialization and R&D-to-production transitions.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites for troubleshooting and support.
