Job summary

Teradata Corporation (SE) is seeking a Staff Virtualization Engineer to join their Platform Infrastructure team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in virtualization technologies, including KVM and VMware, to develop and maintain the Teradata hybrid-first platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, scripting, and experience with Infrastructure as Code. A competitive salary range of $132,900 to $199,300 annually is offered, alongside comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, 401(k), and additional incentives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience for Bachelor's degree candidates.
• 5+ years of work experience for Master's degree candidates.
• 2+ years of work experience for PhD candidates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the platform infrastructure.
• Conduct end-to-end testing for functionality validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for improvements.
• Optimize network hardware for virtualization integration.

Skills

Expert knowledge of virtualization technology

Expert knowledge of KVM and Harvester

Expert knowledge of vSphere, vSan, vMotion, vCenter and/or vRa

Solid knowledge in automating VMware environment

Experience using Infrastructure as Code like Terraform

Strong understanding of cloud technologies

Knowledge of programming/scripting languages

VMware Certified Advanced Professional

Education

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
