Job summary

Referment is seeking a Senior Virtualization and Storage Engineer to own mature production platforms, drive stability and performance, and guide next‑generation architecture through evaluation, proofs‑of‑concept, and carefully planned migrations.

You will build automation and tooling to improve reliability and scalability, plan cross‑functional migrations, and provide hands‑on technical direction on large initiatives within a global investment and technology organisation.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of hands-on experience building and supporting server virtualization in production.
• Deep expertise in VMware, Hyper-V or a KVM-based platform; experience across more than one is valuable.
• Enterprise storage and SAN experience, including storage protocols and at least one software-defined storage platform.
• Python and PowerShell programming experience.
• The judgement to evaluate platform change driven by hardware, cost or vendor considerations.
• Strong communication, organisation and independent delivery skills.

The Role

What We're Looking For

• At least ten years of hands-on experience building and supporting server virtualization in production.
