Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Virtual Environment Lead to join our Fort Shafter, Hawaii team. The role involves supervising a group of network engineers, guiding design, implementation, and security of the organization’s network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years leading network teams, experience with DoD IA policy, and expertise in major VDI platforms. This full-time position may include on-call duties and occasional travel, with a salary range reflecting the Secret clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Active in-scope SECRET clearance.
• IAT-III level certification.
• 5+ years leading network engineering teams.
• 5+ years working with DoD IA policy guidance and implications on network design.
• Expertise in at least one major VDI platform (VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Azure Virtual Desktop).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers, ensuring their professional development and performance.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect data and systems from vulnerabilities and threats.
• Plan and manage network projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment and services.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure network operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and policies.
