Job summary

mccowngordon is seeking a VDC/BIM professional to coordinate models from design and trade partners and manage BIM schedules across platforms. You will establish standards, review for conflicts, and support presentations with constructability analyses.

The role involves laser scanning and reality capture using drones and 360 cameras, ensuring accurate field data is embedded into models and project closeout information is linked effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in VDC or 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, construction operations, or similar AEC role.
• Knowledge of VDC Services including preconstruction integrations, field applications, reality capture, and emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Autodesk, Navisworks, Revit and AutoCAD, and Trimble SketchUp.

• Creates virtual mockup models to illustrate constructability, means and methods, and sequences of work.
• Assists with clash detection on assigned projects including design and trade model collection, clash detective setup, and clash view creation and organization.

Laser Scanning

Performs laser scanning in field and processing of data for use and analysis.

Reality Aerial Capture

Certified to fly drones for reality capture of jobsite conditions, processing of data, and performing analysis to project teams.

Reality Interior Capture

Utilizes 360 cameras for reality capture of jobsite conditions, processing of data, and performing analysis to project teams.

Facilities Management

Links and embeds information into models during construction for project closeout.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
