Job summary

Western Alliance Bank seeks a Vice President, Portfolio Manager - Commercial in Beverly Hills to lead analysis, structuring, underwriting, and closing of major loans in line with lending policies. You will collaborate with the VP Commercial Banker to monitor credit risks and achieve regional and branch goals through underwriting and closing desirable credits.

You will interface with clients to assess credit needs, gather information for financing requests, and coordinate loan processing.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, and pricing dynamics. Credit analyst training completed.
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients in-person, over the phone and email to assess credit needs and determine analysis requirements.
• Gather and analyze information for financing requests to senior management or Loan Committee for approval.
• Coordinate processing of approved loans and ensure compliance with policies and customer needs.
• Provide superior customer service and follow through with customers and employees.
• Handle underwriting, portfolio management and upkeep tasks related to new loan requests and existing portfolios.
