Studio Wildcard in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to create and implement high-quality real-time VFX for ARK Survival Ascended. You will work with designers, engineers, and artists to shape visuals and performance for next-gen gameplay.

The role requires strong Niagara in Unreal, Houdini/Embergen, and Blueprint proficiency, plus a track record of shipped AAA projects. You will drive VFX systems, troubleshoot performance, and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showing real-time VFX in Unreal with Niagara.
• Experience with fluids/pyro in Houdini/Embergen/Maya/Max/Blender.
• Strong knowledge of vector math, lighting and performance.
• Unreal Blueprint experience for VFX systems & tools.
• 5+ years in game development; 2-3 shipped AAA titles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement high-quality, performant VFX assets and systems.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to troubleshoot VFX.
• Meet deadlines and document VFX workflows for the team.
• Identify and fix performance issues affecting VFX.
