Job summary

Montecito Veterinary Center seeks a compassionate Medical Director to lead clinical care, mentor veterinarians and staff, and ensure high standards across services. You will collaborate with Hospital Manager and Regional Director in a well-equipped, full-service practice serving dogs, cats, birds and exotics since 1967.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Veterinary License is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality progressive veterinary care.
• Oversee medical standards and quality of care; set clinical policies.
• Lead hospital for revenue, budgeting, and inventory planning; ROI analysis.
• Mentor staff veterinarians and conduct interviews for DVMs.
• Ensure compliance with state law and AAHA standards.
