Job summary

Avets Specialty & Emergency Trauma Center in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, seeks a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Cardiologist for a full-time role dedicated to advanced cardiac care for referral, emergency, and hospitalized patients.

You will perform echocardiograms, ECGs, Holter monitoring, and collaborate with Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Exotics, and Critical Care to develop integrated treatment plans in a state-of-the-art facility within Ethos Veterinary

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Cardiology (DACVIM-Cardiology) or residency training in Cardiology.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced medical and interventional cardiology care for referral, emergency, and hospitalized patients.
• Perform and interpret echocardiograms, ECGs, Holter or telemetry monitoring, to guide diagnosis and management.
• Collaborate with Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Surgery, Oncology, Neurology, Exotics, and Emergency teams to develop integrated plans.
• Participate in on-call echocardiograms and catheterization procedures to support urgent needs.
• Partner with overnight Emergency/ICU teams to ensure continuity of care for cardiac patients.
