Job summary

CGS Federal or CGS is seeking a Senior Veritas Enterprise Vault Engineer to join a fast-paced Legal department team. The role emphasizes maintaining and monitoring Veritas Enterprise Vault on Windows servers, performing configurations, troubleshooting, and supporting cloud migration efforts for critical legal systems.

The team focuses on reliability, automation, and incident response to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

Experience administering Veritas Enterprise Vault on Windows servers.
Ability to monitor, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise storage environments.
Familiarity with change control processes and incident response.

Responsibilities

Participate in technical meetings to review objectives and support programs.
Perform configurations, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting per engineering docs.
Process change requests through the established change control board.
Manage storage requests, migrations and decommission tasks.
Monitor failed components and coordinate vendor/site support as needed.
Respond to alerts with prompt corrective actions and escalations.
Complete scheduled maintenance per policies and procedures.
Prevent data loss by careful maintenance and system checks.
Manage technology in remote environments.
Provide initial response and Level 1/2 escalation for outages.
Schedule maintenance actions in a timely manner.
Create PowerShell and VBScript scripts to automate tasks.
Facilitate migration of systems to cloud infrastructure.
Perform daily system monitoring and verify backups.
