Job summary

Glīd Technologies in Riverside, California seeks an experienced embedded systems engineer to design and integrate vehicle electronics. You will develop firmware for ECUs, lead system bring-up, and work across hardware and software to deliver production-ready vehicle platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design electrical harnesses, and validate hardware in fast-moving startup environments, with a base salary of $140k–$170k and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong background in vehicle electronics and embedded systems.
• Comfortable working across hardware and firmware development.
• Experience designing and integrating electrical systems in vehicle platforms.
• Hands-on prototype development and system bring-up.
• Understanding of CAN/CAN FD, LIN, I2C, ISO-SPI protocols.
• 5+ years embedded firmware development experience with C/C++.
• Experience building drivers, bootloaders, and HALs.
• Familiarity with RTOS and debugging complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Own vehicle-level firmware integration across ECUs and distributed systems.
• Lead system bring-up, ECU communication, and integration debugging.
• Drive root cause analysis across firmware and electrical systems.
• Define firmware targets for each sprint and maintain stable builds.
• Coordinate firmware releases and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Develop embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
• Design electrical systems, harnesses, and PCBs for vehicle control.
• Bring up new hardware and support prototype builds.
• Test and validate firmware and hardware during development.
