Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies seeks a proactive Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to advance propulsion, chassis controls and active driveline features. You will lead dynamics development across configurations while leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools to speed analysis, requirements development and validation.

The role emphasizes systems thinking, collaboration with cross-functional teams and a focus on safety with DFMEA and ISO 26262 practices. On-site work in Irvine, CA is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 3–5 years of systems engineering experience with a focus on vehicle dynamics or related areas.
• Solid understanding of controls, electrical, or mechanical engineering principles applied to vehicle dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize Vehicle Dynamics features across chassis, propulsion and active driveline systems.
• Collaborate with OEM stakeholders to define User Stories and performance attributes.
• Create and document vehicle, system and component requirements with traceability.
