Job summary

Marathon TS is seeking an experienced VDI Engineer to support an intelligence community customer. The role is based in Springfield, VA or Arnold, MO with an active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility for CI Poly.

The contract with NGA runs through 2032, offering exposure to a large-scale, globally accessible virtual desktop infrastructure. The ideal candidate will design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise VDI environments, emphasizing system integration, identity lifecycle

Qualifications

• Experience engineering VDI environments leveraging Citrix CVAD v7.15+.
• 6+ years in engineering roles with BS or equivalent experience.
• Progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer in VDI.
• Familiar with Citrix Cloud CVAD and PVS/MCS; supporting desktop optimization.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3/4 support to system admins on VDI issues.
• Guide desktop optimization for platform interoperability; liaison with VDI teams.
• Offer endpoint support for Virtual Desktop tasks and troubleshooting.
• Maintain advanced admin/engineering knowledge of VDI technologies.
• Operate across multiple production environments with diverse stakeholders.
• Apply extensive technical expertise across related disciplines.

Marathon TS is seeking an experienced VDI Engineer to support an intelligence community customer in Springfield, VA or Arnold, MO. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and offers the opportunity to support a large-scale, globally accessible virtual desktop infrastructure within a mission-critical environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise VDI environments, with a strong background in system integration, identity lifecycle management, and process automation. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing virtual desktop solutions.

Job Description

• Provide TIER 3/4 support to system administrators in order to resolve VDI issues.
• Provide guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
• Offers endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks on Virtual Desktop related tasks.
• Maintains an Advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
• Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.

Required Qualifications

• Experience providing engineering support for legacy and current versions of Citrix products.
• 6+ years of experience with BS degree or a combination of years of experience and education.
• Progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer.
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later.
• Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
• Liquidware Profile Unity.
• Hyper V, VMWare VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs).
• Familiar with Client AnyConnect and Leostream.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering
• Experience with Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• System Center Virtual Machine Manager/Vmware Vcenter 6.7
• Home Directory and Profile management Support Services
• Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services
