Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Flight Simulation Trainer 5 to serve as a VATS SME at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), NV. The role requires operating the VATS simulator from cockpit/console to support USAF Weapons School and deployed squadrons.

Qualifications

• 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years with Masters in related field; or 19+ years with HS.
• Current or previous military fighter pilot.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Work Environment: on-site; remote work not eligible.
• Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months; TS/SCI potential.

Responsibilities

• Operate VATS fighter simulator cockpit controls and console.
• Act as Mission Director or Red Czar per scenario.
• Operate simulator console and debriefing system during missions.
• Provide SME on threat air tactics during planning and execution.
• Support development and integration of training events at JITTC-N.
• Create mission-planning materials to ensure training goals.
• Provide instructor-level expertise to shape tactical training.
• Report issues and provide basic troubleshooting for simulation software.
• Lead small teams to meet customer requirements.
