Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology with a Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. Our 95,000 employees work across more than 150 countries to put patients first — developing innovative medical technologies that improve the lives of 72+ million patients each year. Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact. A Day in the Life Senior Value Stream Manager Careers That Change Lives At Medtronic, we value what makes you unique. Be part of a company that thinks differently to solve problems, make progress, and deliver meaningful innovations.

The Senior Value Stream Manager will join the Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) Operations team and own the end-to-end performance of an assigned portfolio of product value streams. You’ll connect suppliers, manufacturing sites, sterilization, distribution, and commercial demand so the network runs as one system. The role creates clear accountability across the network, improves supply continuity and service, expands gross margin, and shapes the long-term operating model for the portfolio. You’ll be the primary Operations interface between the PVH Operating Unit, Global Operations and Supply Chain, internal manufacturing sites, and external manufacturing partners. You’ll turn business priorities into an integrated five-year value-stream roadmap and bring cross-functional teams together to deliver measurable outcomes for patients, customers, and the business.

Peripheral Vascular Health offers a diverse portfolio of devices and therapies designed to restore blood flow and support patients across peripheral arterial, venous, end‑stage renal disease, and embolization therapies. PVH Operations enables this portfolio by protecting supply, improving the flow of value, and building a resilient, efficient global manufacturing network. This position is based in either Southern CA or Tijuana, Mexico, within the Peripheral Vascular Health operating unit. At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. In‑person exchanges are invaluable to our work. We work on‑site four days per week as part of our commitment to fostering professional growth and cross‑functional collaboration as we engineer the extraordinary. This role requires less than 10% travel to support collaboration and successful project delivery. We believe that when people from different cultures, genders, and points of view come together, innovation is the result—and everyone wins. Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end‑to‑end operational health, performance, and strategic direction of assigned PVH value streams. Ensure seamless flow from supplier through manufacturing, sterilization, distribution, and customer delivery. Proactively identify risks, drive cross‑functional alignment, and deliver sustainable improvements in service, cost, inventory, supply continuity, and margin.
  • Lead the operating mechanisms that connect the Operating Unit, manufacturing sites, Global Supply Chain, Quality, Sourcing, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Regulatory, Product Lifecycle Management, and New Product Development.
  • Lead end‑to‑end value‑stream mapping and future‑state design using the Medtronic Performance System and Lean principles to reduce waste, lead time, complexity, and operating cost.
  • Build and govern a prioritized portfolio of cost‑down, margin‑expansion, capacity, reliability, inventory, and network‑optimization initiatives with clear owners, milestones, resources, and financial outcomes.
  • Partner with Product Lifecycle Management and Marketing to define product rationalization, phase‑in/phase‑out, and discontinuation roadmaps while protecting customers and minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Coordinate the operations transition of new products and major released‑product changes into stable post‑market supply, ensuring manufacturing readiness, scalable capacity, and effective handoffs.
Qualifications and Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years leading people, programs, or cross‑functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end‑to‑end supply, manufacturing, or product value streams in a regulated or highly controlled environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex problem solving, risk mitigation, prioritization, and execution across multiple sites and functions.
  • Experience translating strategy into a multi‑year roadmap, portfolio of initiatives, operating metrics, and governance.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including cost, inventory, capacity, and margin trade‑offs.
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively from working teams through senior and executive leadership.
  • Ability to travel to manufacturing sites, suppliers, and business locations as required.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math and a minimum of 7 years of technical work experience, OR an advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, or math with 5 years of technical experience.

Nice to Have
  • Medical‑device or other regulated‑industry experience.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Medtronic Performance System certification and practical value‑stream mapping experience.
