Job summary

Deloitte’s Strategy & Transactions valuation team in New York seeks a Senior Consultant to perform comprehensive business valuations, modeling, and related financial analyses. You will work with valuation specialists to analyze opportunities for multinationals and financial services clients, delivering clear value-driven insights.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage projects, and communicate complex results to clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; an MBA and/or CFA designation is a plus.
5+ years of business valuation and intangible asset valuation consulting experience.
Experience with ASC 805 and ASC 350 including purchase price allocations, goodwill valuations, impairment analyses.
Experience valuing for tax purposes across federal, state, local, international, and personal tax matters.
Experience applying valuation approaches (DCF, Guideline Companies/Transactions, etc.).
Experience building financial models to value stock, entities, and assets; client/industry analyses.
Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to supervise staff.

Responsibilities

Performing financial reporting valuations for business combinations, including purchase price allocations and enterprise values.
Supporting impairment analyses for goodwill and long-lived assets.
Conducting valuations for tax purposes across multiple jurisdictions.
Assisting clients with business plan development and strategic investment decisions through valuation.
Preparing valuations for derivative securities and regulatory purposes.
