Rivian is seeking a Senior Validation Fleet Manager in California. This role ensures the proper management of validation fleets, coordinating closely with various stakeholders to optimize vehicle readiness and usage for tests.
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in fleet operations and proficiency with tools like Jira. A competitive salary range of $98,500 - $123,100 is offered, along with comprehensive benefits for employees and their families.
Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions‑free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
The Senior Validation Fleet Manager ensures the right vehicles are available, correctly configured, roadworthy, and visible to the teams that need them so validation work can happen on the right assets at the right time. This role partners closely with V&V leads and cross‑functional stakeholders to recommend fleet actions, readiness priorities, and asset allocation decisions based on vehicle maturity, content, test intent, and fleet status. Final validation priority and test execution decisions remain with the responsible V&V leads and program owners. This role is also highly execution‑oriented and owns much of the day‑to‑day manual coordination required to keep the fleet moving, including Jira ticket management, asset tracking, readiness follow‑up, and issue visibility across validation and engineering teams.
The salary range for this role is $98,500 - $123,100 for California based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
