Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to develop, program, and execute test cases using HIL test benches, Lab Cars, and manual vehicle testing for automotive systems, including infotainment, telematics, cameras, sensors, and networking.

You will set up HIL environments, perform integration tests, analyze root causes, and collaborate with OEM customers. Proficiency in Python for test automation and experience with Vector CANoe and CANalyzer are required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Test Engineer with an automotive company.
  • Experience with Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Pytest Automation Framework, Python, DoIP, CAN, LIN, UDS, ISO-14229, ISO-13400, PCAN-Explorer, Wireshark, Jira, Jama, Git, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and execute test cases based on system requirements, primarily using HIL test benches, Lab Cars, and manual vehicle testing.
  • Execute integration tests across systems, focusing on infotainment, telematics, cameras, sensors, and networking components.
  • Set up and configure HIL test environments and execute tests to validate system performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues when a test fails.
  • Maintain tight collaboration with OEM customers, ensuring smooth integration of OEM functions and clear communication on test results and issues.
  • Perform manual tests on vehicles or prototypes to ensure all functional requirements are met.
  • Write scripts in Python for test automation to improve efficiency and coverage.

We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. About the role

  • Maintain tight collaboration with our OEM customers, ensuring smooth integration of OEM functions and clear communication on test results and issues.

  • Perform manual tests on vehicles or prototypes to ensure all functional requirements are met.

  • Write scripts in Python for test automation to improve efficiency and coverage.

We're looking for someone who has:
  • Must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Test Engineer with an automotive company
  • At least 1 year using Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Pytest Automation Framework, Python, DoIP, CAN, LIN, UDS, ISO-14229, ISO-13400, PCAN-Explorer, Wireshark, Jira, Jama, Git, Jenkins.
