Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Test Engineer with automotive experience to develop and execute test plans for vehicle systems. You will work with HIL benches, Lab Cars, and manual testing to validate infotainment, telematics, cameras, sensors, and networking components.

You will configure test environments, analyze root causes, and collaborate with OEM customers to ensure proper test results and integration. Python scripting for automation will be used to improve coverage.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Test Engineer with an automotive company.
• At least 1 year of experience using Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Pytest, Python, DoIP, CAN, LIN, UDS, ISO-14229, ISO-13400, PCAN-Explorer, Wireshark, Jira, Jama, Git, and Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and execute test cases based on system requirements, using HIL test benches, Lab Cars, and manual vehicle testing.
• Execute integration tests across systems focusing on infotainment, telematics, cameras, sensors, and networking components.
• Set up and configure HIL test environments and run tests to validate system performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues when tests fail.
• Maintain close collaboration with OEM customers, ensuring smooth integration and clear communication of test results.
• Perform manual tests on vehicles or prototypes to ensure functional requirements are met.
• Write Python scripts for test automation to improve efficiency and coverage.

We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. About the role

• Develop, program, and execute test cases based on system requirements, primarily using HIL test benches, Lab Cars, and manual vehicle testing.

• Execute integration tests across systems, focusing on key automotive components like infotainment, telematics, cameras, sensors, and networking components.

• Set up and configure HIL test environments and execute tests to validate system performance.

• Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, when a test fails.

• Maintain tight collaboration with our OEM customers, ensuring smooth integration of OEM functions and clear communication on test results and issues.

• Perform manual tests on vehicles or prototypes to ensure all functional requirements are met.

• Write scripts in Python for test automation to improve efficiency and coverage.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience as a Test Engineer with an automotive company
• At least 1 year using Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Pytest Automation Framework, Python, DoIP, CAN, LIN, UDS, ISO-14229, ISO-13400, PCAN-Explorer, Wireshark, Jira, Jama, Git, Jenkins.
