Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced UX Engineer to bridge design thinking with scalable frontend development. You will translate UX concepts into production-ready interfaces, lead UI component development, and collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to deliver enterprise-grade software solutions.

You will champion design system adoption, mentor UI developers, and drive accessibility, performance, and usability improvements across complex applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in front-end or full-stack development with strong UX/UI collaboration.
• Demonstrated expertise in modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React or similar frameworks).
• Solid understanding of UX design principles, including interaction design, usability, and information architecture.
• Experience working with design systems, component libraries, and design tokens.
• Strong proficiency in translating design tools (e.g., Figma) into production code.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate UX research insights and designs into high-quality front-end implementations.
• Develop and maintain reusable UI components aligned with design system standards.
• Contribute to full-stack development efforts and ensure seamless front-end to back-end integration.
