Job summary

Google in Kirkland, WA, is seeking a senior UX Engineer to design and prototype AI-infused front-end experiences. You will build high-fidelity prototypes, dashboards, and data visualizations that translate complex research into polished user interfaces.

Collaborating with UX Research, Product Management, and Engineering, you will bridge design and code, apply TypeScript and Python across platforms, and mentor peers while exploring foundation models and intelligent workflows.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
• Experience in application development across multiple platforms using TypeScript and Python.
• Experience working with agentic tooling and translating technical decisions to non-technical collaborators.

Preferred qualifications:

• 7 years of experience developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications.
• Experience in WebGL, Canvas, D3.js, or similar technologies for dynamic, high-performance data visualization.
• Experience incorporating generative AI and large language model APIs into interactive tools.
• Technical leadership, peer mentorship experience, and a strong visual design background.
• Track record of growing in high-ambiguity research environments and rapidly validating disruptive product concepts.
