Job summary

Bloomberg L.P. seeks an experienced Senior Interaction Designer to advance the BQuant user experience from ideation through execution.

You will work with engineers to implement design concepts across programmatic and graphical interfaces, driving user research and defining how users interact with cloud-based analytics. You will lead research initiatives, align with product strategy, and apply emerging UX practices to create scalable, intuitive experiences for financial professionals leveraging

Qualifications

Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Visual Communication, or any design-related field
4+ years of experience in user research, designing for complex user workflows, service design, product design, interaction design, UI and visual design, and prototyping
Familiarity with cloud computing and IDEs
Experience applying user-centered research and design practices to solve design problems
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Curiosity and aptitude to research best practices in HCI/UX
Enthusiasm for shaping user experience across all product surfaces

Responsibilities

Drive early ideation and execution of enhancements for BQuant, a complex product
Collaborate closely with engineers on design concepts
Lead and define user research projects to inform design decisions
Shape a range of product interfaces, both programmatic and graphical
Contextualize design proposals within Bloomberg’s rich product ecosystem
Identify cross-platform opportunities to create value for customers
