The role focuses on diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions with a high degree of independence and collaboration with physicians. The position requires Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant credentials, Florida APRN license, and national certification in a nursing specialty, with experience in urgent care or ED settings

Qualifications

• MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing.
• Graduate of accredited physician assistant program.
• APRN license in the state of Florida.
• National advanced certification from an approved nursing specialty board.
• Maintains current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an advanced resource for specialty area or lead worker in clinic setting.
• Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and prescribes necessary treatment and services.
• Operates with a high degree of independence in patient care with minimal physician supervision.
• Assists in teaching students, residents and interns in complex techniques and procedures.
• Uses advanced skills and clinical knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Triages patients and participates in daily multidisciplinary rounds.
