Job summary

Avid Bioservices is seeking a Sr. Research Associate in Process Development - Upstream to develop and optimize scalable mammalian cell culture processes and transfer them to Manufacturing. You will supervise junior staff, maintain production equipment, and explore new methods to enhance process performance.

You will apply established platform approaches, analyze growth and production data, and prepare technical reports and summaries for client projects. The role is full-time in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or physical sciences with 4–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in scientific laboratory techniques and materials.
• Experience in process validation and related studies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize scalable mammalian cell culture processes.
• Transfer processes to manufacturing and support tech transfer.
• Maintain production equipment and supervise junior staff.
• Analyze data, prepare reports and communicate findings.
• Scale up and transfer cell culture and harvest processes.
