Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking aSenior Underwriting Specialist to support the Asset Management practice within Financial Institutions, underwriting asset managers including RIAs and private fund managers. This role requires strong agency relationships, technical underwriting expertise, and a focus on profitable growth.

Remote or hybrid work is allowed anywhere in the United States with regular travel to partners and industry events, reporting to the Leader of the Financial Institutions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
5-7 years Underwriting Financial Institutions focusing on asset managers and investment firms.
5-7+ years agency relationship experience driving profitable new and renewal business.
Proficiency in UW core competencies; mentorship for less experienced underwriters.

Responsibilities

Responsible for underwriting and selling new and renewal Specialty accounts.
Identify opportunities, manage assigned portfolio, and drive profitable growth.
Develop and execute portfolio business plans and improve metrics.
Provide training and product knowledge transfer to agents.
