Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Transactional Risk in New York, hybrid work model.

The role focuses on Representations and Warranties Insurance (RWI) within M&A, negotiating bespoke policies and coordinating with brokers, legal counsel, and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions. Ideal candidates have 8–15 years in M&A underwriting, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and professional designations such as CPCU or AU.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of M&A or relevant underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to manage and build broker and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Quote development: Manage analysts and junior underwriters in evaluating submissions for active private M&A transactions and prepare customized term sheets with pricing and underwriting considerations.
• Policy negotiation & execution: Lead underwriting process, review due diligence, negotiate policy terms, and draft exclusions for gaps.
• Due diligence review: Analyze target company materials and M&A agreements to inform policy terms.
• Team collaboration: Supervise and mentor junior underwriters and analysts.
• Training: Deliver training to junior staff to ensure best-in-class products.
• Legal liaison: Coordinate with deal counsel and communicate inquiries to brokers.
• Performance: Lead team performance toward financial goals.
• Relationship management: Maintain strong broker relationships to support deal flow.
