Base pay range

$66,000.00/yr - $144,000.00/yr

Description

This is a remote position with occasional travel for in person agency visits. Ideal candidate will live and work remotely in Minnesota, Wisconsin or surrounding states. This is a ranged posting. Level offered will be based on candidate experience at manager discretion.

Responsibilities

• Develop, grow and maintain diversified books of business while working closely with agents and brokers to assess risks, determine premiums, set conditions and negotiate deals that maximize profitability and meet business goals.
• Balance data analytics with human intuition to manage own accounts in property casualty insurance.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with agents and brokers, while presenting proposals, negotiating deals and obtaining approvals.
• Mentor underwriters in a technical and professional capacity, sharing best practices and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Document account reviews, state-compliant sign-offs and referrals, letters of authority and follow underwriting guidelines.

• Understanding of contract language, including regulatory and policy differences among applicable states
• Familiarity with continuous improvement processes and tools

Education

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Chartered Property Casual Underwriter or other professional insurance designation preferred
