Job summary

Fundomate Technologies, Inc. in the United States is seeking an experienced Merchant Cash Advance Sr. Underwriter to join the underwriting team.

The role focuses on detailed financial analysis to assess merchant creditworthiness and to price funding offers. This position is primarily remote with occasional in-office visits, with a preference for candidates based in Utah. The successful candidate will review bank statements, company financials (P&Ls, balance sheets, tax returns) and credit

• 3+ years in underwriting role at merchant cash advance funder.
• Experience reviewing bank statements.
• Experience reviewing company financials (P&Ls, balance sheets, tax returns).
• Experience with ISO relationship management.
• Knowledgeable with credit reporting docs & systems.

Responsibilities

Core Job Description:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis to determine the credit worthiness of a merchant


• Perform risk-based underwriting reviews of applications which includes the analysis of credit reports, bank statements, and various other business documentation in order to determine a merchant's credibility


• Price and structure funding offers


• Interact with internal sales team


• Conduct underwriting interviews with perspective merchants

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Approval Rate: Percentage of applications approved versus total submitted


• Turnaround Time: Average time from application submission to decision or funding


• Portfolio Performance: Default and loss ratios of funded deals, monitored against targets


• Accuracy of Risk Assessment: Number of deals correctly classified per policy/compliance audits


• Error Reduction: Decrease in underwriting-related errors and omissions over time


• Customer Satisfaction: Ratings or feedback from partners, brokers, or sales on underwriting quality

Qualifications:

• 3+ years in underwriting role at merchant cash advance funder


• Experience reviewing bank statements


• Experience reviewing company financials (P&Ls, balance sheets, tax returns)


• Experience with ISO relationship management
