A leading national insurer in Chicago is seeking an experienced Underwriter to manage complex commercial Property & Casualty accounts. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience and offers a competitive salary range of $100K–$130K with performance bonuses. About The Role:

• Handle a portfolio of complex commercial P&C accounts with autonomy and responsibility
• Collaborate with brokers and internal stakeholders to achieve optimal underwriting outcomes
• Shape underwriting strategy while upholding corporate guidelines and risk appetite
• Provide expert advice, support, and mentorship to colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture

• Engage with clients and brokers to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ commercial P&C underwriting experience
• Strong technical underwriting and risk analysis capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic mindset with the ambition to progress into leadership
• CPCU designation (or progress toward) highly regarded
