Job summary

AGILE UNDERGROUND SERVICES LLC is seeking a Senior Utility Location Technician to join our GroundHawk Division in Raleigh, NC. This role performs field and technical tasks across private locating, pre-design locating, SUE, and video pipe inspections, operating electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground facilities safely and accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training in utilities, construction, or engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Utility Locating Technician, preferably in Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE).
• Experience in the field, preferably for a company of similar or larger scale.
• Demonstrated stability in work history (no frequent job changes preferred).

Responsibilities

• Aid in training staff in operations, policies and technical procedures.
• Create, lead and train in safety procedures for staff.
• Read and interpret utility maps/prints to identify underground utilities.
• Communicate with excavators, utility reps and company personnel regarding underground facilities.
• Operate electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground facilities accurately.
• Provide accurate documentation and/or sketches related to locates completed.
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a professional appearance.
• Follow all safety rules.
