Job summary

Talon Metals Corp is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead underground mining design and long-range planning for the Tamarack Underground Project and related facilities. You will assess development layouts, stope design, ventilation, and backfill while coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.

The role requires 7+ years in underground mining, strong safety and planning knowledge, and proficiency with Deswik. Remote work options may be available for this position.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of underground mining experience.
• Strong understanding of underground mine safety and planning.
• Experience with Deswik and mine design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground mine designs and long-range project planning for Tamarack and other sites.
• Validate development layouts, stope designs, ventilation, and backfill requirements.
• Identify and mitigate technical, safety, and cost risks in the mine plan.
• Collaborate with leadership, operations, regulators, and external teams for alignment.
• Manage trade-offs, value engineering, risk reviews, and project optimization.
• Support technical reports, presentations, and procurement documents as needed.
• Support other Talon projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
