Job summary

Providence Swedish First Hill is seeking a Sonographer to perform OB/GYN, abdominal and neonatal brain studies on-site in Seattle. The role includes aiding radiologists during invasive procedures, conducting Doppler studies including liver and transplant cases, and performing Nuchal Translucency and neonatal cranial exams.

ARDMS-certified or eligible candidates with at least 2 years of experience are preferred, with BLS certification at hire.

Qualifications

• Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take ARDMS registry examination.
• National Registered Technologist - Sonograph or National Certification from ARDMS.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 2 years of experience as a sonographer

Responsibilities

• Perform OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts ultrasound examinations.
• Assist the radiologist during invasive procedures.
• Perform abdominal Doppler studies including liver and liver transplants.
• Conduct Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams.
• Make clinical judgments based on information from the referring physician and patient.

Description

Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Expectations also include assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures. Performs abdominal Doppler studies of the liver and liver transplants, as well as performing Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams. One additional certification i.e. Breast, Vascular, Neurosonography, MSK, Pediatrics, Fetal Echo, Nuchaltranslucency or the Neonatal specialty is required for Senior Sonographer status. Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Successful completion of Ultrasound training program --- Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination

Pay Range: $57.99 - $88.99. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
