Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts examinations. The role includes assisting radiologists in invasive procedures and conducting Doppler, NT, and neonatal cranial studies with ARDMS eligibility.

You will contribute to patient care and imaging quality across a busy radiology service. Minimum requirements include ARDMS eligibility or certification, BLS, and at least two years of experience as a sonographer.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Ultrasound training program --- Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take ARDMS registry examination
• National Registered Technologist - Sonography
• National Certification from ARDMS
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years of experience as a sonographer

Responsibilities

• Perform OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts ultrasound examinations
• Assist radiologist during invasive procedures
• Perform Doppler studies of liver and liver transplants
• Conduct Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams

Description

Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Expectations also include assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures. Performs abdominal Doppler studies of the liver and liver transplants, as well as performing Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams. One additional certification i.e. Breast, Vascular, Neurosonography, MSK, Pediatrics, Fetal Echo, Nuchal translucency or the Neonatal specialty is required for sonographer 2 status. Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments.
