Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior UI/UX/frontend engineer to design and implement responsive web interfaces for legacy and modernized systems. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver innovative UI/UX solutions across DoD/IC programs.

The role requires hands-on development with Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and modern JS tools, plus a strong portfolio. Expect a hybrid schedule with occasional visits to classified facilities and DC-area SCIFs.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
• 9+ years of UI/UX and frontend development experience.
• Hands-on frontend development with modern JavaScript frameworks; Vue.js preferred.
• Strong UI/UX to development portfolio.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hybrid work model with 90% remote work; occasional visits to classified facilities.
• Experience supporting DoD or IC programs.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
• Experience with TypeScript, jQuery, or Python.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Active or recent DoD TS/SCI clearance with Poly
• 9+ years of professional UI/UX and frontend development experience
• Hands‑on frontend development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, Vue.js preferred
• Strong UI/UX design‑to‑development experience with a portfolio
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Ability to work hybrid and visit classified facilities occasionally as needed. 90% of work is remote, from home.
• Monthly occasional visits to DC/VA/MD area SCIFs for classified work or meetings.
• Prior experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) programs
• Experience aligning user behavior, mission needs, and business goals with technical solutions
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and responsive design techniques
• Experience creating, modifying, and enhancing graphical user interfaces (GUI)
• Familiarity with SQL databases and basic database design principles
• Ability to implement user stories independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with additional frontend technologies such as TypeScript, jQuery, or Python.
