Job summary

PeopleTec is seeking a Senior UI/UX Engineer to lead the design of intuitive, visually compelling web applications for our Huntsville, AL location. You will own UI/UX strategy from concept through delivery, working with engineering, product, and stakeholders to define cohesive, scalable design solutions.

The ideal candidate has deep experience creating end-to-end web applications, producing high-fidelity, clickable prototypes, and owning visual design systems that scale across products.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of professional UI/UX design experience focused on web applications.
• Complete application designs with clickable prototypes and full user flows.
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or equivalents.
• High-fidelity designs ready for engineering implementation.
• Strong understanding of UX principles and visual hierarchy.
• Experience scaling design systems across products.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead UI/UX design for full-scale web applications from concept to production handoff.
• Create high-fidelity, clickable mockups and demonstrate user flows.
• Define and maintain design systems including theming, color, typography, and components.
• Translate complex requirements into intuitive experiences for users.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure feasible designs and proper implementation.
• Provide UX guidance across multiple products and features.
• Iterate designs based on stakeholder feedback and usability findings.
• Advise on accessibility and inclusive design practices.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to design maturity.
