Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support a large-scale federal modernization effort in Huntsville, AL. You will lead the design of intuitive, accessible experiences for cloud-based data workflows, dashboards, and mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities include user research, wireframes and high-fidelity interfaces, design systems, and collaboration with Product, Engineering, QA, Cloud, and Migration teams in an Agile environment. A TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in UI/UX design or related fields.
• Experience designing data-rich enterprise apps and dashboards.
• Bachelor’s degree in design-related field.
• Active Top Secret clearance.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support a company focused on a large-scale federal modernization initiative involving cloud-based applications, data workflows, dashboards, and mission-critical systems. This position is ON-SITE at Huntsville, AL. The Senior UI/UX Designer will lead the design and delivery of intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences that support critical operational objectives. Responsibilities for the Senior UI/UX Designer include:

• Lead user research, persona creation, workflow analysis, journey mapping, and UX discovery activities
• Design wireframes, user flows, prototypes, interaction models, and high-fidelity user interfaces for cloud-based and data-driven applications
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, visual assets, and reusable UI components to ensure consistency across platforms
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, Cloud, and Migration teams in Agile environments to support successful solution delivery
• Conduct usability testing, A/B testing, and stakeholder reviews to validate designs and drive continuous user experience improvements

Required Qualifications for the Senior UI/UX Designer include:

• 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, human-centered design, digital product development, or related disciplines
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design and prototyping tools
• Experience designing complex, data-rich enterprise applications, dashboards, and mission-critical user interfaces
• Strong user research, prototyping, visual design, communication, collaboration, and requirements translation skills
• Experience working within Agile or SAFe development environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Department of Justice, law enforcement, intelligence, defense, or national security programs
• Familiarity with cloud-based applications, data visualization platforms, and microservices architectures
• Experience with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility compliance standards
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts

Compensation for the Senior UI/UX Designer includes:

Salary Range: $130,000 - $165,000 depending on experience
