Job summary

JMS Technical Solutions is seeking a Senior UI/Frontend Developer for an on-site, full-time role in New York, NY. You will lead frontend efforts, building complex UI with React/TypeScript and AG Grid in a data-heavy environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional JavaScript/TypeScript development in enterprise-level domains.
• Proficiency with React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Deep experience with AG Grid in production applications; complex configurations and integrations.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern ES6+ features.
• Working knowledge of DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience building and maintaining reusable UI component libraries at scale.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and web performance.

Responsibilities

Our client in New York, NY is seeking a Senior UI / Frontend Developer to join their team!

This is an onsite/full-time/direct-hire position

Salary range based on experience: $120K-$125K

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain complex, data-heavy UI features using React and TypeScript in a 100% frontend-focused capacity
• Work extensively with AG Grid to build, optimize, and maintain sophisticated grid-based data views and complex data displays
• Create and maintain calculator functionality that enables users to run their own simulations with intuitive, responsive interfaces
• Maintain and extend a comprehensive UI component library used across dashboard and calculator functionality, ensuring consistency and reusability
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for frontend codebases with DevOps knowledge and best practices for deployment automation
• Work with clients to architect solutions that solve real-world frontend challenges
• Provide technical estimates and milestones for frontend features and stories
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to our clients' growth via technical interviews

Core Requirements

• 5+ years of professional JavaScript/TypeScript development in enterprise-level domains
• Extensive, production-level expertise with React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Deep, hands-on experience with AG Grid in production applications- complex configurations, performance optimization, and custom integrations
• Proficiency with TypeScript and modern ES6+ JavaScript features
• Working knowledge of DevOps practices for managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Experience building and maintaining reusable UI component libraries at scale
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility (a11y), and web performance optimization
• Solid verbal and written communication and consultant/client-facing skills; a true consultant who takes initiative and is a self-starter

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular or other frontend frameworks
• Knowledge of Java or backend technologies (helpful for working with full-stack teams)
• Experience with build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc.) and their optimization
• Familiarity with financial or asset/wealth management domain applications
• Prior experience with data visualization libraries and complex financial applications
