Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA seeks an experienced software engineer for the Electronic Warfare division. You will build hardware-enabled, software-defined platforms and deliver immersive web-based visualization tools for operators and command networks.

Expect ownership of scoped projects, collaboration with UX and engineering teams, and frequent field deployment with up to 30% travel. A U.S. Secret clearance is required and a strong background in JS/TS/React is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/EE or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working on backend web services and understands API design.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• A mindset towards innovative approaches of problem solving.
• Broad experience in delivering functional outcomes.
• Experience working on frontend applications, preferably data-intensive or map-based systems.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript, TypeScript and React.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Experience building real-time, high-performance DSP visualizations.
• Partners with UX designers and contributes to user experience reasoning; translating design concepts into technical implementations.
• Experience with browser graphics programming
• Experience with browser streaming technologies
• Multi-threaded browser application development

Responsibilities

• Anduril’s Electronic Warfare (EW) division builds next-generation electronic warfare platforms — hardware-enabled, software-defined systems that are fielded, operational, and scaling fast
• The EW team operates at a tempo the defense industry isn’t used to: delivering novel system configurations into active operations in days, not months, and iterating based on direct operator feedback from the field. Production is scaling from hundreds to thousands of units, and the software systems that connect these platforms to operators and command-and-control networks are scaling with them
• Build and design immersive image-viewing experiences in a web-based platform
