Job summary

Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) seeks a Sr. UI Designer Developer to craft world-class digital experiences across desktop, mobile, and apps.

You will design, code, and drive a UI vision for MMS and NEJM Group projects by leveraging creativity and current UI trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into user-centered designs. You will mentor junior designers, develop design standards, and ensure accessibility and responsive performance across all platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Web Design, Graphic Design, or related field with 6+ years of web design/development experience.
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and GitHub; JavaScript a plus.
Experience with WordPress CMS and PHP; able to write validated code.
Strong communication, collaboration, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, design, and code responsive web pages and application interfaces per requirements.
Create UI mockups and prototypes; manage design assets and ensure branding consistency.
Develop wireframes, user flows, and site maps using Figma to communicate ideas.
Implement accessible, responsive interfaces across devices and platforms.
Mentor junior designers/developers and contribute to design standards.
