Nightwing is seeking a Senior UI Developer in Maryland to build modern, responsive interfaces for mission-critical applications using JavaScript frameworks and Spring Boot backends. This onsite role at our National Business Park location offers collaboration with mission stakeholders and a path to advanced, scalable front-end solutions.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in UI/front-end development.
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot for building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Proven experience integrating front-end applications with Spring Boot backends.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Familiarity with build tools and bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn).
• Knowledge of version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and user experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern, responsive user interfaces for mission-critical applications using JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
• Build scalable, RESTful backend services using Spring Boot to support dynamic front-end applications.
• Create seamless integration between front-end components and Spring Boot microservices, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Develop reusable UI components and establish design patterns that promote consistency across multiple applications.
• Optimize application performance, focusing on load times, rendering efficiency, and responsive design across various devices and browsers.
• Collaborate with UX designers, software engineers, and mission stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-friendly interfaces.
• Implement secure coding practices and ensure applications meet stringent security standards for classified environments.
• Work with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time data streaming to deliver dynamic, data-driven user experiences.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and mentor junior developers.
• Ensure adherence to agile development practices and configuration management standards using modern DevSecOps tools and workflows.
