Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an experienced wealth planning professional to lead comprehensive wealth strategies for high and ultra-high net worth clients. The role collaborates with lead relationship managers, advisors, and Northern Trust partners to design and implement wealth plans with tax efficiency and wealth transfer goals.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of wealth transfer planning, taxation, estate planning solutions, wealth management products and services.
• Broad based technical and analytical skills in wealth planning, wealth transfer, tax, philanthropy, fiduciary practice, asset location and preservation and related disciplines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and proactive consultative orientation.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive personal and family wealth profile with goals in collaboration with Lead Relationship Manager.
• Design wealth plans integrating wealth management, transfers and tax efficiency; model plans with advisors.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Manager, Regional Wealth Advisor, Trust Advisor and other professionals for implementation of wealth plans.
• Monitor and periodically update client wealth plans.
• Assist in the sales process and identify opportunities to expand client relationships with Northern Trust products and services.
• Mentor Associate Wealth Advisors and Wealth Advisors.
