Zone 5 Technologies in Paso Robles, CA is seeking a senior UAV Avionics Assembler III to lead high-reliability assemblies and support production problem-solving across programs.

You will build complex avionics, perform first-article and prototype builds, inspect, test, and assist with root cause investigations while mentoring junior staff. Compliance with AS9100 and FAA quality requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of avionics or aerospace electronics assembly experience.
• Advanced wiring practices and connector systems knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• High school diploma or technical degree; IPC 620 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build complex avionics assemblies and high-density wiring harnesses.
• Perform first-article, prototype, or low-rate production builds.
• Interpret documentation and resolve issues with engineering.
• Conduct detailed inspections and testing for continuity.
• Support root cause investigations related to workmanship.
• Mentor and train Avionics Assembler I-II personnel.
• Provide feedback on manufacturability and process improvements.
• Assemble components and wiring from drawings and schematics.
• Perform wire terminations and harness routing to spec.
• Maintain MES documentation and traceability; follow AS9100/FAA quality.
