Job summary

Technology Ventures in McLean, VA seeks a Senior UAT Tester to serve as the primary liaison between Product teams and Business SMEs, coordinating user acceptance testing for new functionality.

The role involves translating business scenarios into clear test cases, facilitating UAT sessions, coordinating test data and environments, and tracking defects to support on-time release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or related field.
• Experience in UAT, software testing, business analysis, or similar role.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong experience with Jira and Confluence, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between Product teams and Business SMEs to coordinate user acceptance testing for new functionality.
• Partner with Product and Business teams to translate business process flows and operational scenarios into clear UAT test cases, scripts, validation checklists, and test data using standardized templates and processes.
• Facilitate UAT sessions, walkthroughs, and readiness reviews so participants understand objectives, scenarios, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
• Coordinate test data, environment readiness, tester access, job aids, and supporting documentation required for successful execution.
• Conduct regular touchpoints and UAT office hours to identify blockers early, answer questions, and maintain testing momentum throughout each 2–3-week cycle.
• Track defects, blockers, risks, and open questions; ensure reported issues are documented, categorized, prioritized, assigned, and resolved in partnership with Product Owners, Product Analysts, and Business SMEs.
• Consolidate testing results, summarize quality trends, report progress, and communicate risks or readiness concerns to project leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen UAT processes, testing discipline, documentation standards, and cross‑team collaboration practices.
