Job summary

Actalent in Washington state seeks a Sr. Network & Cyber Security Engineer to design, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot the communications infrastructure that connects unmanned aircraft systems to ground control stations.

You will own a complex environment including RF networks, Starlink satellite links, VPNs, and firewalls, with emphasis on reliability and field operations. You will build resilient network architectures for mission-critical operations and enable operators to diagnose issues

Qualifications

• Hands-on network engineering in mission-critical, remote environments.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge including routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with VPNs, firewalls, and network security policies.
• Experience with Windows and Linux administration.
• Experience with wireless, RF, and satellite communications.
• Certifications like Network+/Security+ or CCNA/CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable networks for UAS ground stations.
• Configure RF links, Starlink, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Monitor and troubleshoot degraded remote links.
• Develop topology diagrams and deployment docs.
• Support security assessments and patching.
• Provide remote support and field troubleshooting.
