Job summary

Transportation Security Administration in Port Sulphur, LA seeks a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STS0) to lead screening teams and ensure TSA procedures are followed at assigned checkpoints.

The STSO will supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers, assign work, and respond to security incidents while coordinating with airport stakeholders. Fulltime, pay $25.00–$50.00 per hour, SV-F band, on-site position.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of specialized experience supervising transportation-security operations.
• Experience as a Transportation Security Officer or Lead Officer is required.
• Ability to distribute workloads, train staff and monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
• Oversee passenger, carry-on baggage, checked baggage, or cargo-screening operations.
• Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate rotations and coverage.
• Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures and judgment.
• Review performance and provide coaching and feedback.
• Coordinate with airport stakeholders and TSA leadership as needed.
• Prepare briefings, logs, incident reports and management communications.
