Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience supervising transportation-security operations.
• Must meet the pay-band level and have leadership experience distributing workloads, training staff, maintaining work records, and addressing workplace concerns.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national and able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
• Oversee passenger, carry-on and baggage screening operations and coordination.
• Assign work, set priorities, and manage rotations to ensure coverage.
• Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures and incident information.
• Review employee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
• Approve leave and address routine workplace concerns.
• Respond to security incidents, checkpoint disruptions, and emergencies.
• Prepare operational briefings, checkpoint logs, incident reports and management communications.
• Coordinate with airport stakeholders, law-enforcement personnel, and TSA leadership as required.
• Recommend improvements to screening procedures, staffing plans and airport operations.
