General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer in Springfield, Virginia.

The role focuses on building an automated testing framework, developing regression tests, and improving testing practices while collaborating with developers and stakeholders. The candidate should have hands-on experience with test automation, be able to work on-site in a classified environment five days a week, and hold or be able to obtain the required Top Secret/SCI clearance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, test engineering, or related discipline.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with the required polygraph.
• Must be able to obtain Top Secret SCI clearance plus polygraph or have Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in CS/Engineering/IT or related field; equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement an automated testing framework for the application's architecture and technology stack.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated regression tests to validate functionality and identify impacts from changes.
• Create repeatable test cases from requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and expected behavior.
• Perform functional, integration, end-to-end, and exploratory testing across components.
• Develop test scripts using programming/scripting languages and automation tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows and build processes.
• Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and the existing tester to improve testing practices.
