Confidential Employer in Greenwich, CT; New York, NY; or Roseland, NJ seeks an experienced trusts and estates attorney with multi-state admission and 8+ years of relevant experience. Hybrid work arrangement offered with primary offices in Greenwich, New York City, or Roseland.

Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated trusts, estate planning, and related tax matters, mentoring juniors and shaping firm growth.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience with substantial trusts and estates experience.
• Admission in Connecticut, New York, or New Jersey.
• Experience with sophisticated estate planning and trust and estate administration.
• Knowledge of estate, gift, fiduciary, and income tax planning.
• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, or closely held business owners.
• LL.M. in Taxation is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and business owners on trusts and estates matters.
• Develop estate planning strategies involving wills, trusts, wealth transfer, asset protection, and business succession planning.
• Handle complex trust and estate administration matters from start to finish.
• Counsel clients on estate, gift, fiduciary, and income tax considerations.
• Draft sophisticated estate planning and trust documents tailored to client objectives.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on tax, estate planning, business, and related client matters.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships while delivering responsive, practical counsel.
• Support the growing volume of multi-state tax, trust, and estate planning matters.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued development of the practice.
