Qualifications

  • 7+ years of personal trust administration experience for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Experience administering sophisticated trust relationships for high-net-worth clients.
  • Strong knowledge of trust administration, fiduciary responsibilities, estate planning concepts, and applicable regulations.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer a portfolio of complex trust accounts for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, and other interested parties, delivering exceptional client service and relationship management.
  • Review trust documents and ensure proper administration in accordance with governing instruments, fiduciary standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Partner with clients' attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, and other external professionals on trust and estate planning matters.
  • Assist with new client onboarding, trust account acceptance, and account transitions.
  • Coordinate with internal investment, tax, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless trust administration.
  • Identify and proactively address trust administration issues while maintaining the highest fiduciary standards.

About the Senior Trust Officer Role

Our client is a privately held wealth management firm seeking an experienced Senior Trust Officer to join its growing trust team in Houston. The role serves as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of complex trust accounts, partnering closely with clients, beneficiaries, and outside advisors to deliver fiduciary service. This is a pure trust administration position with no business development or sales responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Trust Officer Role
  • Administer a portfolio of complex trust accounts for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with investable assets generally ranging from $10 million to over $100 million
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, and other interested parties, delivering exceptional client service and relationship management
  • Review trust documents and ensure proper administration in accordance with governing instruments, fiduciary standards, and applicable regulations
  • Partner with clients' attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, and other external professionals on trust and estate planning matters
  • Assist with new client onboarding, trust account acceptance, and account transitions
  • Coordinate with internal investment, tax, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless trust administration
  • Identify and proactively address trust administration issues while maintaining the highest fiduciary standards
